Project Description
The design aims to establish a comprehensive fishing hub, encompassing the entire fishing cycle from catch to sale, addressing challenges faced by Port Galilee in managing waste generated during fish processing. The proposed building functions as an innovative structure floating over Narragansett Bay, both processing fish and managing wastewater. Treated wastewater is repurposed within the hub’s processes, with any excess released back into the ocean. This initiative celebrates Rhode Island’s famous seafood culture while striving for self-sufficiency in infrastructure.
