Map a school printer to a PC - Yale Architecture

Step One

Open the Printers control panel. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners

Step Two

Select Add a Printers & Scanner from the top of the window.

Step Three:

Select “The printer that I want isn’t listed”

Step Four:

Click the option “Select a shared printer by name”

In the Name field, enter:

\\arch-print-aws.yu.yale.edu\

A list of printers will appear, select the printer you want to map.

Note: Even though you can map a printer, if you do not have access to use that printer it will refuse all jobs sent to it.

Step Five:

Click “Next” once your printer has been selected

Step Six:

The printer driver will be installed, click “Next” once it has completed

Step Seven:

Lastly, click “Finish” to complete the installation.
