Alireza Zamani Samani
Alireza Zamani Samani is an architect and PhD researcher at Yale University, affiliated with the Yale Center for Ecosystems + Architecture (CEA). He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Art University of Isfahan and his first Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Art, Tehran, Iran. He later received his Master of Science in Architecture from Penn State, where he was an affiliate with HuMatLab and collaborated with ForMat Lab on numerous research projects. Beyond his academic pursuits, Zamani has also contributed as a Senior Architect to several national and international award-winning architectural projects throughout his professional career. Zamani’s work seeks to redefine the boundaries of architectural practice and praxis by exploring the metabolism and dynamic interaction of ecological systems and technological innovation, emphasizing the integration of biomaterials with built environments. Through this lens, he aims to develop sustainable design frameworks that support ecological resilience and enhance the performance of architectural materials in concert.
