Yushan Jiang: This project tries to criticize the relationship between the FORM and the LIFE in the context of dwelling. Architecture form becomes a constraint on human life – repeated, similar capsules constitute the collective housing while the human life is limited in their own capsule. What will a dwelling be like which gives complete respect towards human life? What will a new lifestyle be like as the automation develops rapidly and human labor is eventually replaced by robots? The project, “Live On-line” begins to use the daily routine of life to redefine the form of architecture and to explore the freedom of domestic life brought by automation in the coming future.
