Caitlin Taylor

Louis I. Kahn Visiting Assistant Professor of Architectural Design

Caitlin Taylor is an architect and farmer whose work bridges design, agriculture, and regional food systems. She is the founder of Midcourse Design & Development, an interdisciplinary studio focused on designing, financing, and building regional food infrastructure in the Northeast. In addition to her design and development practice, she co-founded Four Root Farm, an organic vegetable and flower farm in East Haddam, Connecticut, in 2013, and founded the Food Systems Design Lab as a Principal at MASS Design Group.

Taylor has a Master of Architecture from Yale, where she received the Henry Adams Medal, and a degree in Biochemistry from Wesleyan University. She is a licensed architect and Holcim Foundation Gold Prize recipient, and lectures widely on the architecture of the food system.
