Enrique Norten is the founder and director of TEN Arquitectos in Mexico City, New York and Miami. Born in Mexico City, he graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana in 1978 and in 1980 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Cornell University.
In 1986 he founded TEN Arquitectos (Taller de Enrique Norten Arquitectos), initiating a commitment to the creation and research of urban planning, architecture and design.
Norten has been recognized internationally for his extensive career; Recently in 2023 he received the “Lorenzo H. Zambrano” award from CEMEX, in 2022 the “Noldi Schreck” award from Glocal Design Magazine, in 2021 the First “PPG Comex National Architecture Award”, in 2018 the “Fine Arts Medal” from the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, in 2014 the “Trayectorias” Award from the College of Architects of Mexico City, in 2005 the World Cultural Council awarded him the “Leonardo da Vinci” World Award.
