Symposia

Transit point: Mitteleuropa

Poster for Transit point: Mitteleuropa
The symposium Transit point: Mitteleuropa is convened to celebrate the opening of the exhibition Oskar Hansen, Open Form featuring the career of the prolific postwar Polish architect, artist and educator by placing him in the context of Mitteleuropa with its strong multi-cultural, intellectual artistic legacy. The symposium highlights that the region has historically served as a transit point for people of different cultural backgrounds and nationalities, providing a fertile ground for the convergence of different artistic mediums as well as intellectual and interdisciplinary exchanges.
