The exhibition Practicing Pluralism (Yale Architecture Gallery, August 27–December 4, 2026) gathers work from twenty-one architects who have taught advanced studios at Yale between 2016 and 2026. Both celebrating a period of design excellence at YSoA—this period marks ten years of Dean Berke’s leadership—and also reflecting broader trajectories and changes in architecture education and the profession at large, this exhibition showcases contemporary modes of expanding practice to act as a means for intervening in cultural-spatial questions. Three of the featured architects—Sandra Barclay (Barclay and Crousse), Fernanda Canales (Fernanda Canales Arquitectura), and Alan Ricks (MASS)—join curator Helen Brown Bechtel for a conversation on architecture as a method for social engagement.
