Junior Architect

Sherman Architects is a Brooklyn design firm founded by Jeff Sherman ‘92. Widely published for its modern additions to historic buildings, the firm’s portfolio combines clean, understated detail with careful space planning. We have a reputation for innovative design, meticulous bid documents, and close collaboration during construction.

Sherman Architects is looking for a full-time junior architect with at least two years of experience to join our firm. The junior architect will work directly under a project manager and will follow a project from site survey through completion of construction. The position will offer experience in all aspects of design, city filing, and construction administration. Applicants can expect the bulk of their time will be spent drafting, conducting product and material research, organizing specifications and schedules, and coordinating consultants. At our firm, diligent junior architects soon become project managers themselves. The following qualifications are specifically required:

· Strong design, writing, and interpersonal skills

· Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited university

· 1-5 years of post-professional-degree work experience

· Facility with AutoCAD

· Experience in high-end residential design

· Filing experience with NYC DOB and LPC

Assistant Construction Project Manager

• Manage the RFP process, under direction of PM

o Create RFP documents including all and only information required

Marketing Coordinator & Graphic Designer

Responsibilities:

Qualifications Include:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred.
- Additional proficiencies may include site analysis, preliminary design studies, and field measurements.
- Additional skills should include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel, Lumion, and Rhino.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
