School Alcohol Policy
• Any alcohol served in the building must be approved in advance by the Dean.
• Approved school-sponsored and officially recognized club-sponsored events may only serve beer and wine unless otherwise approved by the Dean at least two weeks prior to the event. No other alcoholic beverages are otherwise allowed.
• In most cases, a certified bartender will be required to ensure compliance with Connecticut state laws including verification of government-issued photo IDs.
• Alcoholic beverages may not be dispensed to individuals who are under the age of 21 years old.
• Alcoholic beverages may not be dispensed to any intoxicated person.
• Events serving alcohol must offer non-alcoholic beverages.
• It is highly recommended that events serving alcoholic beverages always have food available.
• All alcoholic beverages must be consumed at the event location.
• Any unconsumed alcohol beverages must be secured after the event.
• The event sponsor and organizing officials will be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of the event.
• The University prohibits the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees on its premises or as a part of any of its activities.
